Betty A Niland, 92 of Syracuse passed away peacefully Friday, September 21 2018 at the Loretto Health and Rehabilitation Center. Born on September 29, 1925 in Schenectady, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Estella (Bradt) Rath. Betty attended Mont Pleasant High School and lived in Schenectady most of her life until, Settling in Syracuse. She enjoyed knitting, reading and traveling. However, the memories she held close to her heart was spending time with her family when she would visit. In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by her husband Thomas Niland and her sister Joyce Pomykaj. She is survived by her children, Michael (Sue) Niland of Seattle, WA, Thomas Craig Niland of Schenectady and Kathleen (David) Robertson of Syracuse; nine grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Services will be held privately.
