Ruth A. Burns, 91, a resident of East Stroudsburg, PA, and also a longtime resident of the Hope, NJ, area, passed away on Oct. 16, 2018, in Phillipsburg, NJ. Ruth was born in Morristown, NJ, to Thomas M. and Nellie (Gettys) Hicks.
She had been a homemaker.
She is survived by a son, Robert J. Burns, and three daughters, Sharon Feldman, Deborah James and Lori Ceaser.
She was predeceased by her husband, Robert Sr., in 2011.
A private family service will take place Friday, Oct. 19, 2018, at Newbaker Funeral Home, 200 Route 94, Blairstown, NJ . Interment will be at The Hope Moravian Cemetery, Hope, NJ.
