Joyce Marie Abeita, age 73, born in Belcourt, North Dakota, and resident of Albuquerque, passed away on Thursday, October 11, 2018.
Joyce is survived by her children, Katherine Abeita-Baca, MAJ Steven Abeita and his wife, Erica and Kimberly Abeita and her husband, Teddy García, siblings, Lee Soward, Larry Dauphinais, David Dauphinais and Gerald Dauphinais, grandchildren, Marisa, Dakota, Ashley, Eric, Louie, Isaac, Dominic, Seferino, Sierra, Armando and Alexia and great-grandchild, Zyler.
Joyce was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Joseph Abeita.
A visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 16, 2018 from 11:00 a.m. until 11:30 a.m. at St. Augustine Catholic Church, 71 Tribal Rd 35, with a Rosary to be recited at 11:30 a.m. Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated at 12:00 p.m. with interment to follow at Mount Calvary Cemetery, Albuquerque, NM. Pallbearers will be Louie Montaño, SGT Isaac Abeita, Dakota Namoki, Marisa Montaño, Ashley Cordry, Eric Cordry and Seferino Jojola.
