Nora McCoy, 83, was called to her heavenly home on Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018. FUNERAL: 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 20, 2018. Visitation: 5:30 to 8 p.m. Friday, Oct. 19, 2018. Both at Shannon Rufe Snow. Interment follow the funeral in Bluebonnet Hills Memorial Park. Nora lived a full exciting life; from traveling the world to spending summers in Ruidoso, N.M., with her late husband, Ted. Nora spent most of her life helping the community by volunteering at food banks, senior centers, and even passing out sandwiches at church on the slab. Nora never met a stranger. Nora was loved and will be remembered by everyone she met. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be forever cherished in our hearts and memories. Nora was preceded in death by her husband, Teddy McCoy; parents, Lonnie and Fannie Belle Long; brothers, Ray Long and wife, Margie, Delbert Long; sisters, Bernice Roberts and husband, John, Loretta Walker and husband, Kenneth, and Ada Linehan. SURVIVORS: Nora is survived by her children, Georgia Bagwell and husband, Johnny, Ricky Jernigan and wife, Patricia, and Randall Jernigan and wife, Jina; grandchildren, Tammy Stuart, Tania Jernigan, Joshua Jernigan, Jason Jernigan, Candace Snyder, Kevin Stone, Robert Stone, Alex Stone and Danial Stone; numerous great-grandchildren; brother, Eddie Long and wife, Linda; brother-in-law, Henry Linehan; and other relatives and friends.
