Loma Simper, age 76, of Vernal died March 10, 2007.
She was born August 21, 1930 in Vernal, Utah. She is the oldest daughter of Elmo and Mary Hardy. She married Lyle Simper May 27, 1948; their marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Loma worked many years as a nurses aide at the Uintah County Hospital and brought much comfort and help to many.
Loma is survived by her best friend and daughter, Shirlene Hackford; sin-in-law Kerm Hackford, grandson Cory Hackford, and granddaughter Tanya Powell and Baxter Powell; as well as 5 great-grandchildren. Also survived by sister Violet Hancock; brother Clayton (Darlene) Hardy of St. George.
Her greatest joy in life was spending time with her family. She will always be remembered for her wonderful smile and her infectious laugh.
Funeral services will be held Wednesday, March 14, 2007 at 11 a.m. at the Glines Stake Center. Burial will be in the Vernal Memorial Park.
