Byron Lee Johnson of International Falls, MN, and currently residing in Warroad, MN, passed away on October 11, 2018 at the age of 88. He was born to Margaret and Guy Johnson on November 18, 1929 in St. Croix, Wisconsin.

He graduated from Taylor Falls and moved to Badger, MN in 1948. Byron served in the Army for two years. He met his future bride, Lyla (Larson) in Greenbush, MN and they married June 30, 1951. They lived in International Falls where Byron was employed for Boise Cascade for 40 years, retiring in 1991. Byron was a lifelong servant and member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church. Byron & Lyla were both instructed in the Lutheran faith and baptized together Feb. 20, 1952.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his beautiful wife Lyla of 67 years; and his sister, Laurie Lou.

Byron is survived by his children: Judy Lund (Joe), Jeffrey (Leigh), Daniel and David (Jill); grandchildren: Jennifer (Jeremiah) Voll, Kari (Matt) Rachuy, Jason (Adria) Lund, Peter (Stephanie) Johnson, Allison (Christopher) Pfleghaar, Erin (Anthony) Gancer, Adam (Kathryn) Johnson; 16 Great Grandchildren; one Great-Great grandchild; and brothers: Guy (Peggy) Johnson and Eric (Patricia) Johnson.
