Thomas R. Davis, 58, formerly of Benton Ridge, died of a stroke Sunday at his home in Toledo. He had been ailing for several weeks.
Mr. Davis was born Feb 16, 1887. near Beaverdam in Allen county. He moved to Toledo 30 years ago from Benton Ridge. He was a carpenter.
He was married to Hattie Reese of Benton Ridge, who survives. three children, Burdette Davis, Mrs. Philip Kaser, and Mrs. Denzil Burton live in Toledo. He leaves also five sisters, Hallie, Fern and Lenna Davis, all of Findlay; Mrs. Estell Sampson, of Rawson and Mrs. Frank Pickens, of Leipsic.
Funeral services were held at the Benton Ridge Evangelical church. Burial followed in the Benton Ridge cemetery.
