Charlene was born June 8, 1923 in Chismville, Ark.
She was a retired music teacher and Assistant Principal in the Arlington Independent School District. Charlene volunteered for various organizations in Tarrant County. She served as State President of the Texas Music Educators Association from 1982-1983 and was named Star Telegram Woman of the Year in 2004.
She was preceded in death by her husband William and son James.
SURVIVORS: she is survived by her daughter, Virginia Baker and her husband Dennis; granddaughter, Lindsey Brillantes and her husband Christian; great granddaughter, Clara Grace and numerous nieces, nephews and friends.
