Carolyn "Bobbie" Burch Farris, 73, of Crossville, passed away Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018, at Cumberland Medical Center. She was born Sept. 20, 1945, in Crossville, daughter of the late Edd Austin Maynard and Ruth Juanita (Parsons) Maynard.
Bobbie was a homemaker and was of the Baptist faith. She was a very loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She will be missed by everyone who knew her.
She is survived by her daughters, Anita Wood and Tina Hutchens, both of Crossville; grandchildren, Michael Wood, Sam Wood, Ronald Jakob Oakes and Tylar Hutchens; great-grandson, Brendan Wood; sister, Bonnie Kerley of Crossville; brother, Terry Ray Maynard of Crossville; and honorary daughter, Lisa White, MD.
In addition to her parents, Bonnie is preceded in death by her husband, Ronald Marvin Farris; and baby sister, Polly Sue Maynard.
Funeral services will be held at Pomona United Methodist Church on Saturday, Oct. 20, at 1 p.m. Interment will be in Pomona Cemetery. Visitation will be prior to the service from noon to 1 p.m.
The family will also hold a visitation on Friday, Oct. 19, from 1-6 p.m. at Bobbie's home on Howard Springs Rd.
