Marie was born in Los Angeles, CA, the daughter of Samuel and Nellie (Coleman) Bachar. She lived in the Tonganoxie community for over 50 years. She worked and managed food services for the Tonganoxie High School for many years. She was very active in the Cornerstone Family Worship, which was originally the Tonganoxie Assembly of God. Marie and her Husband Frank helped to start the original church. She was very well known for her cinnamon candy and great snack mixes. She never knew a stranger and was always willing to help where needed. She was preceded in death by her husband Frank Rhudy; two sons, Michael & Randy Rhudy; one daughter, Pamela Evans. There will be a private inurnment on her family plot in Maple Grove Cemetery, Tonganoxie.
Survivors include; two daughters, Ila Hohn, Perry, KS, Stephanie Vervynck, Lawrence, KS; one sister, Della Baccera, Topeka, KS; 5 grandchildren, Shane Hohn, Bruce Vervynck, T.J. Vervynck, Laura Herlinger, Steven Rhudy; eight great-grandchildren, Annabelle Hohn, Aubrie Hohn, Leo Hohn, Jade Allen, Aleah Vervynck, Ethan Pruitt, Darby Herlinger, Viola Herlinger.
