A family Graveside Service will be held at Greenwood Cemetery.
She was born on July 22, 1931 in Wilson County, daughter of the late Charles Edward Hildreth and Eva Robinson Hildreth.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Walton Dudley Griffin, Sr.; son, James Edward Griffin, and brother, Edward Douglas Hildreth, Sr.
Mrs. Griffin was retired from the State Of Tennesee as the Director of the Board of Cosmetology and Board of Barber Examiners. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star, Chapter 417. She was a member of First Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Joseph “Joe” Griffin (Kris); grandchildren, Ally Griffin, and Dalton Griffin; step-children, Walton Dudley Griffin, Jr., and Charles Christopher Griffin; step-grandson, Michael Griffin, and nephew, Doug (Vicky) Hildreth.
Evelyn’s children and grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.
