Funeral services were planned for this afternoon for David Jackson Douglass, 86, of 501 State St., West Columbia. He died Saturday morning at his home. Formerly of Orangeburg County, Mr. Douglass had lived in West Columbia for the past 63 years. He was a member of the Main Street Methodist Church where he was a member of the Men's Club. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Gertrude Strange Cone Douglass of West Columbia, Children surviving from his first marriage to the late Mrs. Frances Ann Wilson Douglass include two daughters, Mrs. J. V. Roof and Mrs. B. R. Hook, both of West Columbia; two sons, Robert L. Douglas of West Columbia, and David J. Douglass Jr., of Lexington; two sisters, Mrs. Belle Medlin of West Columbia, and Mrs. Agnes C. Wells of Columbia; and two brothers, Charles Douglass of Greenwood and T. M.
