Born April 3, 1936, in Minneapolis, Minnesota, he was the son of the late Charles and Helmi (Heininan) Anderson.
Neil graduated from Fort Ann Central School and then was in the Air Force for 4 years, stationed mostly in Newfoundland. He was in charge of Radar while there.
He worked at GE and then Finch Prynn for a while. In 1961, he joined AT&T and then transferred to New York Telephone Co, for a total of 30 years. He retired in 1992.
Neil really enjoyed reading and telling goofy jokes. He loved doing woodworking and was always doing some work around the house.
Before getting real sick, he also enjoyed going to and being a member of the American Legion Post 574 in Hudson Falls.
In addition to his parents, he was predeceased by his sisters, Dorothy Swink and Vicky Wento; his brothers, Charles Anderson Jr. and Albert Anderson; and his cousin/great friend, Paul Wento.
Neil is survived by his wife of 56 years, Lulumae (Gage) Anderson; his son, William Anderson (Laurie Eastwood); his daughter, Margaret Bennett (Ted teRiele); and his granddaughter, Jerica Bennett.
Per Neil’s request, there will be no calling hours or funeral service.
Burial will be held at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery.
