Philip Kaufman, Boonton resident HINGHAM, Mass. - Philip Kaufman, formerly of Boonton, died Thursday at Cardinal Cushing Hospital in Brockton after a long illness. He was 76. Mr. Kaufman was born in Brooklyn, N.Y., and lived in Boonton for more than 40 years before moving to Hingham 10 years ago.
He was an executive at Boonton Handbag Co. in Boonton and retired 10 years ago after 40 years. He was a still-life painter and received many awards for his works. He was a member of Congregation Agudas Israel in Newburgh, N.Y. He is survived by his wife, Helen; a son, Steven of Newburgh; a daughter, Sheila Amontea of Hingham; and two grandchildren.
