Bud was born 27 April 1939 in Woodward, Oklahoma to Arnold David Stewart and Eva Jane Karns Stewart and passed away 11 October 2018 after a short illness with colon cancer.

He grew up in Woodward and graduated from Woodward High School, where he played football and ran track. He received a scholarship to the University of Oklahoma in track. He held the OU indoor 3000 meter record for a number of years. He graduated from OU in January 1964 with an Industrial Education degree. He was inducted into the U.S. Army March 1964. He served two years active duty and six years in the reserves.

He married Ann Veatch Stewart in March 1965. He worked for Central Fixture Manufacturing Company in Edmond, Oklahoma, part of TG&Y.

He is survived by his wife, Ann of Edmond and sons, David L. Stewart and Sharon Hall of Wyoming and John W. Stewart of Edmond. He is also survived by a sister, Rubie Campbell; brothers, L. D. Stewart, and Jay Stewart all of Woodward.
