Robert "Bob" W. Heine Sr., 87, of West Chicago, formerly of Elgin, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018, at Central DuPage Hospital, Winfield. He was born on July 4, 1931, in Dundee, the son of Eric and Irma Puffpaff Heine.

Bob was a United States Army veteran, serving during the Korean War. He worked construction for many years in the Elgin area.

He is survived by his sons, Robert (MyLinda) Heine Jr., Ernest (Tricia) Heine; a stepdaughter, Kimberly Brandon; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews; sister, Sally (J. L.) Callahan.

He was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Lorraine Cox; and a brother, William Heine.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, October 17, 2018, at 11:00 a.m. in the Laird Funeral Home, Elgin. Burial will follow at Lakewood Memorial Park, Elgin.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday from 4-8 p.m. in the funeral home.
