Dorothy 'Dot' May Dudding Wilkinson
Born to Orvalle Dudding and Elizabeth Brown in Melvern, Kansas. Dorothy was the fifth child along with her siblings, Forrest, Jack, Bettie, Pansy, Patricia and Philip. Her dad worked for the railroad and, in 1942, the family moved from Kansas to Newberg. She attended Commerce High School (Now Cleveland High School in Portland) but graduated from Newberg High School. Dorothy was a long term S.E. Portland resident.

She married James "Jim" Wilkinson Feb. 10, 1952. She raised four children, who supplied her six grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

From Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and Campfire Girls, to Elks charity activities, Dot and Jim were both actively involved in the community. Lifelong friends regularly got together for pinochle, poker and many other activities.

A lover of the outdoors, Dot and Jim hunted, golfed, snow skied, fished and camped all over the Northwest and the US. She continued to be active, golfing and bowling until very recently.

Dorothy will be interned with her husband in Willamette National Cemetery in Portland.

The family requests in lieu of flowers donations be made to the Providence Foundations: Cancer Institute Fund.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, James Wilkinson; daughter, Robin Wilkinson; and son, Thomas Wilkinson.

Dorothy is survived by her son, Ronald Wilkinson; daughter, Colleen Wilkinson; sister, Patricia Sully of Salem; and her many grandchildren; great-grandchildren; and great-great-grandchildren.

A memorial service for Dorothy will be at 3 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 14, 2018, at City Bible Church, Rocky Butte Campus, 9200 N.E. Fremont St., Portland, OR 97220.
