Richard Gutierrez, 71 of Topeka, KS died unexpectantly at his home on Saturday, October 13, 2018

He was born in Topeka the son of Pablo and Refugia (Davalos) Gutierrez.

Richard was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. He attended Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic School and graduated from Hayden High School.

He is survived by three siblings, Louis (Lola) Gutierrez, Raymond (Edna) Gutierrez, and Mary Lou (Al) Alvarez.

He was preceded in death by his parents and six siblings, Tony Gutierrez, Manuel Gutierrez, Leona Gutierrez, Janie Gutierrez, Clara Jaramillo and Paul Gutierrez, Jr.

Richard will lie in state from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. Thursday at Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home where a Parish Rosary will be prayed at 6:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. Friday at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church. Cremation will follow. Private burial of his urn will take place at Mount Calvary Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests contributions to Our Lady of Guadalupe of Catholic Church sent in care of Brennan-Mathena Funeral Home, 800 SW 6th Avenue, Topeka, KS 66603.
