James J. Springer III, 12, of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday at Upstate University Hospital with his family by his side. Born in Syracuse, James was an avid skateboarder, loved to bike and enjoyed drawing. He was a 6th grader at Grant Middle School. James is survived by his father and step mother, James J. Springer Jr., and Wendy Voyles; his mother, Rhonda M. Johnson; siblings, Brittney and Bryson Johnson, Dustin and Jaylee Springer; grandparents, James Springer Sr., and Joanne Johnson; and several aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday 9 a.m. at St. Matthew's Church where a Mass of Christian Burial will be Celebrated. Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Minoa. Calling Hours will be held on Monday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Delaney Greabell Adydan Funeral Home, 241 Kinne Street, East Syracuse.
