Mr. John Knotts was born in Columbia, SC to Janie Blanks Jenkins and the late James and Janie Mae Norris Knotts. He departed this life on Thursday October 11, 2018.

John was educated in the public schools of Lower Richland County, South Carolina and graduated from Hopkins High School. He was employed in the maintenance department of The Marriott Hotel.

Mr. Knotts is survived by his companion of thirty-eight years, Ms. Juanita Williams Mack; his daughters, Angela Elaine (Orlando) Washington, and Patricia "Tiny" (Michael) Brown; sons, Ollie Davis and John "Peewee" Knotts; stepchildren, Lorretta Lake, Cheryl Mack, Cookie Mack, and Michael Mack; his sisters, Jannie Ross, Dorothy (Mike) Mack, Sandra Lyn (Harry) Davis, Shirley Mayers and Quasheda Parker; brothers, James, Theoron, Woodrow,Gerald and Marcus Reeves and a host of grands, great grands, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and caring friends.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at 1 PM at Friendship Baptist Church, House Street with interment to follow in The Promised Land Cemetery. Public Viewing will be held on Monday October 15, 2018 from noon until 6 PM at A. A. Dicks Funeral Home.
