Lois (Miles) Reid, 83, of Syracuse, passed away peacefully with her family at her side on Monday at Loretto. She was born and raised in Syracuse, the daughter of the late Earl and Madeline (Nicholson) Miles. She graduated from North High School and continued her studies at the General Hospital of Syracuse School of Nursing, where she obtained her RN degree. Lois retired after 30 years as a school nurse from Liverpool Central School District. She is predeceased by her husband William Reid in 1968. Surviving to cherish her memory are her daughter, Nancy (Mark) Lazara of Liverpool, two beloved grandchildren, Michael Lazara of NYC, NY and Gina Lazara of Las Vegas, NV. Calling hours will be held on Friday, September 29, 2017 from 4 to 6 PM at the Maurer Funeral Home Moyers Corners, 3541 State Rt 31 Baldwinsville with funeral services to follow at 6:00 PM. Private burial will take place in Greenlawn Memorial Cemetery at the convenience of the family. Lois's family would like to thank Loretto- Fahey 4 for their compassionate care given to their mother.
