Gary passed away January 15, 2018, in Yuma, Arizona. He was born October 16, 1928, in Los Angeles, California, to Thena May (Nugent) and Earl Benson. Gary retired in 1967, from the United States Air Force, Stewart AFB, New York, as a Technical Sergeant, after serving his country for 22 years.
He is survived by his wife, Mari E. Benson, of Spokane, Washington, his brother Aaron Benson, wife Karen and son, of Norland, Washington, his five children, Mark Paralitici (Claudette), Debbie Lawheed (Jim), Laura Galvan (Gabriel), Ayriel Storm, and Marty Harris (Becky), of California and Washington, 16 grandchildren, and 14 great-grandchildren.
In honor of Gary, a VA Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 20, 2018, at 12:30, at Fairmount Memorial Park, 5200 W. Wellesley, in Spokane, WA.
