Ronald Rush Pearson, 85, Marion passed away on Saturday, July 16, 2022.

He was born in Gas City, Indiana, on Monday, May 16, 1937, to Darrow and Virginia(Dial)Pearson.

The family moved to Marion two years later.

Ronald graduated from Marion High School in 1955 and at that time he was working at Hooks Drugs Store making milk shakes and sundaes behind the soda fountain. That is where he met Wilma Soule who was later to become his bride in 1956. She pased away in 2013.

Ronald worked at RCA Thompson for 42 1/2 years, retiring in 1998.

He was a life member in the NRA and a long-time member in the Der Creek Conservation Club where he enjoyed shooting his Colt Gold Cup .45. He was a member of the Center Township Volunteer Fire Department for 14 years.

He enjoyed photographing wildflowers in the spring and bird watching. He also enjoyed scuba diving in Florida.

Ronald and Wilma had two sons, Ron Pearson, Jr. of Marion and Michael Pearson of Sweetser; grandson, Eric Pearson of Marion; one sister, Gene Parese of California; one brother, Phillip L. Pearson of Mississippi.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Darrow D. and Virginia F. Pearson; and wife, Wilma J. Pearson.

A Funeral Service to celebrate Ronald's life was held on Friday, July 22, 2022 at Needham-Storey-Wampner Funeral Service, Storey Chapel 400 E. Main St., Gas City, IN., with Pastor Mick Simpkins officiating.

Burial took place at Riverside Cemetery.
