David L. Boren, 101, long-term resident of Fort Worth and more recently of Houston, Texas, died peacefully, Saturday, Sept. 22, 2018. David grew up in Henderson, Texas, son of Travis Austin Boren and Anna Mae Vandigriff Boren. He served four years in World War II as a pilot and graduated from SMU Law School in 1948. He was licensed to practice law in Texas and Oklahoma where he specialized in oil and gas law and land titles. Ballroom dancing was his passion. David married Clare Payne Marable of Henderson, Texas. He was predeceased by her and daughter, Ella Clare Schneemann. He is survived by daughter, Hallie Anna Zietz of Bellaire, Texas, her husband, Barry Zietz, their children, Jake and Maggie; granddaughters, Anna and Lacy Schneemann; and son-in-law, Phillip Schneemann. For the exceptional care they provided, the family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Seasons Hospice and Palliative Care, especially hospice nurse, Nancy Bonomo; and caretakers, Gail Weems, LaMeeka Anthony, and Sheila Johnson.
