SAGINAW--Melissa Lyn Pratt, 43, passed away on Friday, October 12, 2018.
Melissa was born October 29, 1974, to Darline Hankins and Terry Douglas Johnson, Sr. in Fort Worth. She loved her family and they were her number one priority. Melissa's children were her proudest accomplishment. Her children felt that they could tell their mother their deepest darkest secrets without judgement, and she was their best friend. Melissa loved to host large family gatherings and always put everyone else's needs above her own. She always wanted everyone to be happy and wanted to share her beautiful spirit with everyone with her smile and laughter. Melissa was the "glue" that held her family together. Her legacy lives on through her children. She was a "Mom" to her children's friends and they would look to her for advice. Melissa would do absolutely anything for anyone. She loved to have fun and she loved the water, be it the lake or the beach. She loved celebrating any holiday and never let her children forget a holiday. Melissa was loved by everyone that met her. She would take in anyone as family, blood or not! She will be deeply missed by her family, her friends, and the Amazon warehouse associates and drivers.
Melissa was preceded in death by her father, B.H. Woody; grandparents, Donald and Beulah Johnson; grandmother, Billie Glass; and uncle, Jerry Johnson.
Survivors: Husband of 17 years, Billy Jack Pratt; children, Thomas Edward Horner, Jr., Deborah Darline Horner, Christopher Dewayne Pratt, and Kelssi Jean Lester; mother, Darline Hankins; father, Terry Douglas Johnson, Sr.; father, Bob Prince; siblings, Melinda Ann Johnson-Brown and husband, Jay, Terry Douglas Johnson, Jr., Kimberly Malone, and husband, Troy, Misty Jenn Noble and husband, Stephen, and Marcus Lee Trammell; and numerous nieces and nephews.
