Sister Veronica Manning, 93, passed away March 22nd at the St. Joseph Care Center at 759 Vermont Avenue in Kansas City, Kansas, where she had lived. She was born in Kansas City, Kansas, and had lived there most of her life. Sister Veronica joined the Sisters of Visitation in Springfield, Missouri, in the mid 1940s. She was an Extern to the Carmelite nuns at the Monastery of St. Michael in Kansas City, Kansas, from 1954 to 1977. She joined the Carmel of the Sacred Heart and St. Joseph i n Jefferson City in 1977.
Her husband, Harry Manning, died in 1943. They had no children. Services were held on Tuesday morning, March 26th, followed by the Funeral Mass at St. Joseph & St. Benedict Catholic Church. Burial was at Mount Calvary Cemetery in Kansas City, Kansas.
