Charles Allen “Chucky” Hines, Jr., 56, resident of Church Street in Culleoka, died Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Maury Regional Medical Center.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday at 2:00 P.M. at Oakes & Nichols Funeral Home with Corey Bell officiating. Burial will follow in Friendship Cemetery.

The family suggests memorials be made to Friendship Cemetery, c/o Vickie Beaver, 2523 Mooresville Pike, Culleoka, TN 38451 or Culleoka Church of Christ, P.O. Box 203, Culleoka, TN 38451. Condolences may be extended online at www.oakesandnichols.com.

Born August 9, 1962 in Maury County, he was the son of Charles Allen Hines, Sr. and Bonnie Underwood Hines. A jack of all trades, he worked for several different companies in Maury County, including General Machine, Pioneer Manufacturing, Kirk & Blume and most recently had been an operator for Hines Backhoe. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, running trotlines, racing, and raising goats, cows, and horses. For several years, he drove the school bus for Maury County Public School System at Culleoka School and previously served as a volunteer Fire Fighter with the Culleoka Fire Department. Mr. Hines was a member of Culleoka Church of Christ.

In addition to his parents, survivors include his son, Joshua Allen (Celseay) Hines of Columbia; brothers, Roy Dwight (Marcie) Hines and James Evans Hines, both of Culleoka; mother of his son and best friend, Debra Howard Hines of Columbia; special friends he considered as sisters, Rhonda (David) Littleton of Culleoka and Sherry Tate of Columbia; niece, Kayla Hines (Josh) Weber; nephew, Cody Allen (Sarah) Hines; great niece, Lakelyn Weber; great nephew, Seth Hines; and several cousins, aunts, and uncles.

Active pallbearers will be Josh Hines, Cody Hines, Josh Weber, John Baker, Dustin Blocker, Joey Scott, Colton Ibbotson, David Littleton, Todd Tate and Levi Baker. Honorary pallbearers include David Hobbs, Red Roberts, Blaine Burgett, Cliff Lemay, Greg Wilson, Jeff Parks, and Randy Watkins.
