James Clifford Raines, 93, of Peterstown, WV was the son of the late Fred Raines and Gertrude Amos Raines. He attended Midway Calvary Tabernacle at Rich Creek, VA where he served as a trustee. He enjoyed deer hunting, going to auction sales, and attending the annual Peyton Camp Meeting where he helped put up the tent. Clifford was a self-employed lumberman, having a sawmill at Gold Bond, VA, & Wilburn Valley, VA, and then later with his sons at Peterstown, WV. He was preceded in death by his wife of 63 years, Thelma Neel Raines. Survivors include three children, sons Jerry and Harry Raines and daughter Betty Ferguson; two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; brothers Ray Raines and Howard Raines; two sisters, Louise Houchins and Kathleen Looney.
