FLORIDA - William J. Boucher, age 70, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018 at his home in Florida after a lengthy illness.

He was born in Groton on May 9, 1948, a son of the late Wilfred and Theresa (Lacombe) Boucher. Bill resided in Florida for many years and was formerly of Groton where he was a communicant of the St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish in Westford. He was a graduate of Lawrence Academy in 1966 and received his Bachelor’s Degree from UMass Amherst in 1970.

Earlier in his life, he was employed by Boston Mutual Life Insurance, the Boston Globe, Walmart and for the past twenty years, he was a fulltime caregiver for his mother whom he loved dearly.

He was a 4th degree member of the Knights of Columbus. Bill enjoyed cooking, gardening and quilting.

He is survived by two aunts, Rita Roux of Groton and Lorraine Boucher of Dracut; also several cousins, including Steven and his wife Julie, John, Elaine, Paul, Richard, Roland, Janet, Diane and Louann. He was pre-deceased by his cousins Roger and Gerard.

Interment in St. Catherine Cemetery.
