HARRISBURG — Jill (Pugh) Brown, 68, of Harrisburg departed this life Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018, at her home. She was born April 26, 1950, to C.W. and Jean (Polk) Pugh.
Jill married R.H. Brown in 1968, and they shared 39 years of marriage before his passing on July 17, 2007.
She was preceded in death by her husband; father; mother; brother, Jimmy Pugh; and two sisters, Judy Bowman and Janice Pugh.
Jill loved reading, being outside and being with her family and grandchildren. Jill always treated people the way she wanted to be treated, was very laid back and had so much self control. She never lost her cool and had a great sense of humor. She will be remembered as the "fun" one in the family.
She worked at several jobs including the Tax Assessor's Office, Revenue Office, HeadStart, Harrisburg Middle School and several more.
She is survived by one daughter, Penny (Vic) Roberts; one son, Kelly (Erica) Brown; two brothers, John (Pam) Pugh and Joe Pugh; two sisters, Jeanette Pugh and Joyce (Mike) Bowlin, all of Harrisburg; and four grandchildren, Reid, Shelby and Mason Brown and Lexi Swihart.
A celebration of life visitation will be from 5-8 p.m. Tuesday at Jackson's Harrisburg Funeral Home.
