WEST FRANKFORT — Tammie Green, 60, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2018, at her residence.
She was born Aug. 8, 1958, in Stuttgart, Germany, to Samuel and Freda (Samples) Hayes.
She married Terry Green in 1979 in West Frankfort.
Survivors include her husband, Terry Green of West Frankfort; daughter, Lindsey (Jarvis) Clark of Herrin; grandchildren, Kalena, Tatem and Nova Clark; sister, Linda Holmes of Warrenville; a brother, Clyde (Nancy) Hayes of Elkhart, Indiana; a niece who was like a daughter, Frankie Harris of Hawaii and several other nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Kim (Mary Anne) Green of Shreveport, Louisiana, and David (Sharon) Green of Edwardsville; sister-in-law, Susan Coleman of Marissa; and a best friend of 45 years, Toni Carroll Puttmann.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and a granddaughter, Karcynn Malia Clark.
She was a member of the St. John’s Catholic Church in West Frankfort, and a member of the FCHS class of 1976. She had worked for Head Start for many years.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 13, in St. John’s Catholic Church in West Frankfort, with the Rev. Dr. Eusebius Mbidoaka officiating. Burial will be in the St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in West Frankfort. Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. today at Parker-Reedy Funeral Home in West Frankfort.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Southern Illinois, Siteman Cancer Center of St. Louis or to Ronald McDonald House of Indianapolis and will be accepted at the funeral home.
