June Ione Sutton, 87, Chanute, Kansas, died Friday, May 11, 2007 at the Neosho Memorial Regional Medical Center in Chanute.

She was born in Chanute, Kansas, on June 2, 1919 the daughter of Guy A. and Lorinda L. (Sargent) Everly.

She served in the U.S. Army (WAAC) stationed in the Panama Canal Zone.

June was united in marriage to Virgil Sutton on April 4, 1947.

She is survived by nieces and nephews LaDena M. (Everly) and Allen L. Mauk; Donald G. and Sandy Everly; Larry D. and Janette Byers; Janice K. (Byers) and Ronnie VanGotten; Diana L. (Byers) and Mark Krone; and many great nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Virgil; two brothers, Clarence L. "Chub" Everly and Floyd W. Everly; a sister, Virginia L. (Everly) Byers; and a niece, Sharlena F. (Everly) Pitts.

Graveside services will be May 17, 2007 at the Neosho County Memorial Park Cemetery (Greenlawn Cemetery) on West 21st Street in Chanute, Kansas.
