Husband of Hannah (or Johanna Cusick) See memorial.
Presumably buried in same cemetery or adjacently.

They were Catholic. So catholic cemetery are most likely.

Graves have not been located. Cemetery uncertain. Could be buried anywhere in Hooker or Thomas county.

I NEED TO FIND THE GRAVE TO trace their genealogy back to Ireland for sure and church burial records.

See memorial for wife.
I am actively looking for their grave sites or church parish death information.

I am actively looking for his obituary; the month is missing from the Nebraska state historical society.

I have the death certifications and other info available upon request to any searchers.

=======History of His Ancestors and Relatives is sort of Confused; needs more work and research===
ILLINOIS CUSICK FAMILIES: A NOTE
There are several persons named "James CUSICK" in and about La Salle County and Livingston County at that time. It is a tangled task to analyze them. All the children have similar named unknown if related namesakes. It is not known if they are distantly related.
HENRY'S FATHER: JAMES CUSICK
• BIRTHDATE ACCORDING TO 1900 CENSUS: May 1836
• BIRTH ACCORDING TO BAPTISM RECORDS IN IRELAND THOUGH TO BE HIM: June 16, 1833
• BIRTHPLACE ACCORDING TO BAPTISM RECORDS IN IRELAND THOUGH TO BE HIM: Parish of Patrickswell, County of Limerick, Ireland
• FROM ACCORDING TO HANDWRITTEN RECORDS WRITTEN BY MARGUERITE CUSICK OR HUSBAND SPELLING UNCERTAIN: "Kilariny". Lot's more worked needed to analyze this!
• MIDDLE NAME: Unknown what it is or if he ever had one. No evidence has come forward that he ever had one.
• IMMIGRATION: Date and Details unknown other than 1830-1860
• DIED: December 21, 1912 in Mullen City, Hooker County, Nebraska according to death certificate
• FINDAGRAVE MEMORIAL #: 193904698
• OBITUARY: No obituary could be found in the "Hooker County Tribune (Mullen)" newspaper since all copies for these years are missing at the Nebraska State Historical Society and all other archives as of December 2017.
• TO DO SOMEDAY: Perhaps someday these years will show up. I emailed the Library of congress in Dec 2017; they did not have these years. ALLEGEDLY BURIED: Mullen, Hooker County, Nebraska. (Allegedly but unconfirmed as of April 2018; Perhaps someday the records will show up. All attempt to find the records in Hooker County have failed along with all cemetery searches.) POSSIBLY ALTERNATIVE BURIAL LOCATION OF HIM AND WIFE: It is possible that he might speculatively be buried in adjacent Thomas County in Seneca or in another cemetery. POSSIBLY VERY SPECULATIVE BURIAL LOCATION OF HIM AND WIFE: Maybe Omaha. Maybe unmarked graves?
• FIRST NAME: was James not as we mistakenly thought Jerimiah. He might have had a son named Jeremiah (Jerry) that caused our confusion.
• A DIFFERENT JAMES CUSICK DIED ON A SIMILAR DATE: Another "James CUSICK" died in June 5, 1912 in Dodge County where he a lived for 35 years and was buried at St. Anthony's Cemetery in St. Charles. He was a brother of a John CUSICK and born in Iowa on December 18, 1864. The source is are obituaries of this date. Both this James and John were sons of a Michael CUSICK.
• ALTERNATIVE SPELLING OF CUSICK LISTED IN HIS NOVEMBER 25, 1860 CHURCH MARRIAGE RECORD: Kusack, Kuisack
• MILITARY SERVICE: No evidence has ever been found of this. I do not know why he would not have been drafted in the civil war. Research this again. Vague theory that he might have lost a leg in Indian war in Colorado or been injured in a fictional account of his life by grandson in law William Peterson, but this is unconfirmed and could have been totally made up
NATURALIZATION MYSTERY: TOTALLY CONFUSED SITUATION; NO FACTS EVER CONCLUDED.
I May have to relook at everything with the spellings "Kusack"
Very confused situation at present. I am not sure, whether he did naturalize and when. There are about 20 persons in American at that time with the name James CUSICK. Preliminary research has found the following partial information which might be the correct person naturalizing on these dates and places. However, all of this may be right or wrong. He may have naturalized multiple times. He may have been illiterate. He may have been confused by the process. He may have started and stopped multiple times. It might be because he was illiterate or stupid.
• LaSalle, Illinois 1863 document that might be his. We have some documents for this.
• Iowa 1873 document. We have some documents for this. I ordered them all documents from Clinton and Carroll counties in Iowa and Illinois.
• Washington State September 1, 1908 Naturalization of person named "James CUSICK" document signed in Chewelah says that the person was born on August 4, 1853 in Limerick and arrived in New York City on May 1, 1879 on the ship "Arabian". All may be right or wrong. Unknown if birth in Limerick Ireland is correct. We have some documents. Was this another relative with the same name visiting at that time? Did the census maker make a mistake on the 1910 federal census? Census information confirms he and wife and relatives lived in 1910 in Stevens County, Washington State
• In January 2018, a United States Citizen Information Service naturalization index search came up blank for any naturalization records.
TO DO: revisit the entire naturalization search of James and Joanna someday
