William F. Baumann Dies at Fruita Sunday
William Frank Baumann, 55, former resident of Grand Junction, died at 5:30 a.m. Sunday at the family home in Fruita. He had been ailing for the past 14 years.
The body is at the Stark’s Mortuary in Fruita, and arrangements for the funeral service will be made later.
Mr. Baumann was born Oct. 8, 1891, at Columbus, Neb. to Henry and Lena Heiny Baumann. He spent his childhood at Columbus and at Custer City, Okla.
The deceased married Ida Baumann Sept. 6, 1916, at Custer City, where they established their home. They came to grand Junction 12 ½ years ago, resident here for eight years. They removed from this city to Littlefield, Tex., moving to Fruita 18 months ago.
Surviving besides the widow are one son, Wilbur, Rangely; two daughters, Mrs. Nellie Collins, Rangely, and Miss Laura Bea Baumann, Fruita; two brothers, John, Arkansas, Joe, Clinton, Okla.; four sisters, Mrs. J. J. Armstrong, New Mexico, Mrs. Lloyd Raner, Custer City, Mrs. Rose Newcomb, Butler, Okla., and Mrs. Jene Smith, Grand Junction; and three grandchildren.
