Christopher Ray Powers, age 35, of Nicholls, Georgia passed away at his residence on October 9, 2018 after an extended illness. Chris was born in Alma, Georgia on July 22, 1983. He was a member of Victory Baptist Church.

Survivors include his parents, Glenn Moore and Brenda Mae Simmons Moore of Nicholls, maternal grandmother, Annie Merle Simons of Alma, paternal grandmother, Nava Powers of Baxley, GA., one stepbrother, Charlie Moore (Jessica) of Waycross, five stepsisters, Phyllis William of Nahunta, GA., Janice Mahlum (Mike) of Waycross, GA., Tricia Johnson (Scott) of Darien, GA., Mindy McHan of Athens and Pamela Tuttle of Nashville, GA.; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and church family.

Funeral services will be Saturday, October 13that 11:00 AM at Victory Baptist Church with Rev. Adam Henderson officiating. Interment will follow in Moore Cemetery. The family will be receiving friends a the funeral home Friday evening from 6 to 9 PM.

Active pallbearers will be; Garrett Crawford, Charlie Moore, Scott Johnson, Martin Simmons, John Moore and Greg Turner. All others in attendance will be considered honorary escorts.
