Jimmie Lee "Prez" Mitchell, of North Chelmsford, formerly a longtime resident of Lowell, died unexpectedly on October 2, 2018, at his home, aged 74 years.

Born July 19, 1944, in Douglas, Georgia, to the late Willie Sr. and Agnes (Curtis) Mitchell. He was educated in Georgia and moved to Lowell in 1968.

After Mr. Mitchell retired from Raytheon Company in Andover, he worked at Home Depot. He was a devout member of the Whole Armour International Church of Lowell. Jimmie loved his family, traveling, and playing cards. He was an avid sports fan.

He is survived by his loving children, Phyllis D. Mitchell of Lorton, VA, Adrian Mitchell and his wife Damaris, Shonica Davis and Darryl Davis, all of Lowell, Kareem Davis and his wife Erina of Dracut, Shalebra Hardin of Lowell, Alicia Vitello and her husband Mark of Maryland, Anthony Clayton and his wife Christine, and Nikki Clayton and Jaime Buchanan, all of Lowell, Keith and Keaton Durham of Nashua, Desire Jones and her husband Michael of Atlanta, GA, forty grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren. Two brothers, Robert Dennis of Charlotte, NC, and David Dennis of Lowell, and a sister-in-law, Mary Scott Mitchell of Atlanta, GA. He was predeceased by three brothers, Robert Mitchell, Willie Mitchell Jr., and Alfonso Dennis, and a sister, Willie Mae Mitchell.

Interment in Westlawn II Cemetery, Lowell.
