Betty was a daughter of the late Stanley and Kathryn Ryneer Turner.

Betty loved her co-workers and her customers during her employment at KU, Home Federal Bank, and Mountain Tarp. She was a member of Covenant United Methodist Church in Middlesboro.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband James Lowell Bowling Sr., and sister Jean Turner.

She is survived by the following members of her family, sons Jim and wife Karen Bowling, Joey Bowling, and Jeff and wife Danielle Bowling, all of Middlesboro, brother William Turner of Middlesboro, sisters Marilyn Grenia of California, and Erma Edwards of Gresham, Oregon, special brother-in-law Jan Bowling, grandchildren Jessica Bender, Turner Bowling, Tyler Bowling, Colton Bowling, Boone Bowling, Blair Bowling, Benjamin Bowling, and Bryce Bowling, in addition to 5 great-grandchildren.

And a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends whom will miss her dearly.

The family would like to extend their gratitude and special thanks to caregiver and friend Barbra Hamblin, Dr. Neil Barry and Staff, caregivers at the Middlesboro A.R.H., and special friends Emily Smith and Maisy.
