Jesse Lee Wilson, age 92, of Marion, North Carolina went to be with his Savior on Tuesday, October 9, 2018 at Memorial Campus of Mission Hospital in Asheville.

A native of Yancey County, Lee was born on June 9, 1926 to the late Jim and Bertha Silvers Wilson.

He was preceded in death by five brothers and two sisters.

Lee was a member of Crabtree Baptist Church in Micaville. He loved doing yard work, being outdoors fishing and hunting, though his family was his pride and joy. He was loved by all and will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

Lee is survived by his wife, Thelma Maxine Styles Wilson; one daughter, Karen Wilson Falcon of Saltillo, Mississippi and one son, Donnel Kevin Wilson (Carol) of Marion; one brother, Jay Wilson (Sara) of Cary, NC. Also surviving Lee are five grandchildren, Timothy Morgan (Dianna), Cheryl Letson (David), Kerry Hood (Wayne), Hannah Wilson and Allison Hartwell (Jacob); six great-grandchildren; three great-great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.

A service to celebrate Lee’s life will be held on Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at Beam Funeral Service with Reverend Calvin Jett officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m., one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. Interment will take place at McDowell Memorial Park.
