EAST PEORIA - Michael J. Herman, age 44, of East Peoria, passed away Sunday, Oct. 7, 2018, at 7:01 p.m. at the OSF St. Francis Medical Center, in Peoria.
He was born on June 7, 1974, in Peoria, to Ronald and Mary Ann (Suttor) Herman.
He was preceded in death by his father.
Survivors include his mother; three sisters, Julie (Terry Poplette) Herman, Amy (Brandon) Carroll and Nicole (Guilluame) Kraft; two brothers, Ronnie Herman and Joshua (Dayna) Herman and four nephews, Noah, Seth, Jackson and Mason. He is also survived by his fiancée, Courtney Branum.
Michael was a 1993 graduate of Woodruff High School in Peoria. He was currently working at Caterpillar, Inc. He was a member of the UAW 974 and was attending the Peoria Apostolic Christian Church, where he was active in the church choir. Michael had a great love of sports, Cubs baseball in particular. Seeing them win the World Series was a highlight for him.
Visitation will be Thursday, Oct. 11, 2018, from 5 to 7 p.m. at the Davison-Fulton Woolsey-Wilton Funeral Home in Peoria. Funeral services will be Friday, Oct. 12, 2018, at 10 a.m. at the Peoria Apostolic Christian Church. Additional visitation will be Friday from 9 to 9:45 a.m. at the church. Burial will be in the Apostolic Church Cemetery, near Edwards.
