Susan proudly worked as an Executive Administrator for BAE Systems for 23 years. She was a 1979 graduate of Salem, NH High School.
Susan wanted to be busy all of the time. She enjoyed quilting, especially with her close friend, Dawn. She was also skilled with stained glass work. She treasured flowers, was an avid gardener and enjoyed planting and caring for all of flowers that adorned her house and her camp.
Susan loved being active outdoors boating, swimming, waterskiing, snowmobiling and hiking. Although never having children, she was like a second mother to many and truly enjoyed being around them. A kind and gentle soul, she also respected all living things and would ""escort"" small insects out of the house, rather than dispose of them. She was particularly good with animals and loved her cat, Savina.
Susan was a devoted and loving friend to everyone who met her. Her courage and strength throughout her illness inspired everyone who met her. She never complained during her struggle and encouraged others to persevere through any adversity. Rarely unhappy, her smile and the bright twinkle in her eyes would truly light up a room, and she was always willing to expend her energy to make a situation better for others, whether it was planning an event or walking to help raise money to support various causes.
Susan is survived by her devoted husband of 17 years, Jeffrey Bailey; her father Ernest Joseph Panneton and his wife Charlotte; four sisters, and her brother.
