Benjamin Jackson, Jr., 82, of South Pittsburg, TN died Monday, October 8, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Brenda Patton Jackson, his parents, Benjamin & Odessa Joseph Jackson, sister, Edna Battle, and brother, Elmer James Jackson.

He was a lifelong member of Mt. Bethlehem Baptist Church, and had worked for the South Pittsburg Housing Authority for many years. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather and brother.

He is survived by his daughter, Pamela Jackson Sims, of South Pittsburg; sons, B. Tyrone (Diane) Jackson of South Pittsburg, and Christopher McKinley (Alexis) Jackson of Toney, Alabama; grandchildren, Celentria Player of East Chicago, Indiana, Brooke Sims, of Huntsville, Alabama, Tera Jackson of Chattanooga, Tennessee, and Elyse Jackson, of Toney, Alabama; three great-grandchildren; three brothers, Clyde (Elzada) Jackson, Earl Jackson, and Alvin (Darlene) Jackson; sisters, Charlsie (Elias) Edwards, and Dorothy Jackson; three brothers-in-law; four sisters-in-law; several nieces, nephews, and other family members.

Funeral services will be held at Mt. Bethlehem Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. Central time on Saturday, October 13, 2018 with Pastors Larry Harris, Richard Smith, and Jonathan Young, officiating. Interment will be in Cumberland View Cemetery in Kimball, Tennessee.

The family will receive friends at the church on Saturday from 1:00 p.m. until service time.
