Mayo – Johnny D. Mayo age 71 of Lithonia passed away on Tuesday, October 9, 2018. A funeral service will be held 2:00 PM, Saturday, October 13, 2018 in the Lawrenceville Chapel of Tim Stewart Funeral Home, the burial will follow at Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery, Dacula. Mr. Mayo was a U.S. Air Force Vietnam Veteran, a past Master of Hapeville Masonic Lodge #590 F&AM. He was a supervisor of maintenance at Emory University before retiring in 2013. He was preceded in death by his wife, Paula Selph Mayo in 2001. He is survived by his sons & daughters-in-law, Johnny Delton Mayo, II, Gainesville; Michael Wayne & Sherry Mayo, Gainesville; Joseph Paul & Kelli Mayo, Conyers; sister & brother-in-law, Joe Ann & Bobby Brannon, High Falls; brothers & sister-in-law, Bobby Mayo, AL; Danny Mayo, Colbert; David & Kathie Mayo, Conyers; 7 grandchildren, 3 great grandchildren. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Paula S. Mayo Scholarship Fund, GA Baptist & College of Nursing at Mercer University.
