Jerry was born in Rockport on December 23, 1933 to the late Ithial and Opal (Cline) Daniel. Jerry retired from Alcoa after 27 years and also operated the Texaco station in Rockport. He was a member of the Rockport First United Methodist Church and loved spending time with his family, IU basketball and Cardinal baseball. He is preceded in death by his parents and Siblings; Joe Bill Daniel, Jack Daniel, Doris Stroup, Brenda Emerson, Roma June Bryant and Tommy Dale Daniel. Jerry is survived by his wife, Eleanor (Piper) Daniel of 66 years and children; Marsha Biggs and her husband Ricky of Rockport; a son Ron Daniel of Rockport. He has two grandchildren, Stephanie Biggs and Scott Biggs; Siblings Roger Daniel and Patty Shields; many nieces, nephews and extended family and friends. A memorial service will be held 1:00 PM Thursday, October, 11 with visitation from 11:00 AM until service time at the Rockport First United Methodist Church with the Rev. Rhonda Moore officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to the Rockport First United Methodist. Burial will be at a later date.
