Nadine Bussey Knight went to be with her Lord on October 7, 2018.

Nadine was born in Muskogee, Oklahoma Oct 30, 1925 to Lawrence Joseph Bussey and Trilby Mitchell Bussey. She was a graduate of Muskogee's Central High School, class of 1943.

In 1946 she married Robert "Bob" Knight whom she had met when he was stationed at Camp Gruber near Muskogee during WWII, and eventually moved to Robert's home town of Jacksonville. She was proud to be an "Okie from Muskogee" and always said she had brought a little of Oklahoma with her when she moved to Florida.

Nadine was a former member of the Ardesia Garden Circle, a member of Riverside Baptist Church for over sixty years, and in recent years she was a member of Avondale United Methodist Church.

Nadine and Bob enjoyed travels to numerous destinations, but throughout her life Nadine's main love and concern was for her family, and her greatest joy was having a full table for family gatherings.

Nadine had a warm and generous heart but eventually it could not keep up with the outpouring of love it tried to create.

She is survived by her husband, Dr. Robert Knight, two sons Robert Knight, Jr. (Susan) of Jacksonville Beach and Lawrence Knight, of Marietta, GA; four grandchildren - Lindsay White (Casey), Southworth Knight (Jess), Hailey Maxonight (Danielle), and Benjamin Knight; one great-granddaughter, Penelope Lynn White, and one great-grandson Everett Southworth Knight.

Services will be held Friday, October 12, 2018 at the Avondale United Methodist Church at 11:00 AM, with reception following at the church. Interment will follow at 2:00 PM at Riverside Memorial Park.

In lieu of flowers, the family would appreciate contributions be made to the Avondale United Methodist Church. Please Sign the guestbook at www.hgriversidefuneralhome.com HARDAGE-GIDDENS, Riverside Memorial Park and Funeral Home, 7242 Normandy Blvd is serving the family.
