Jane Turner Nix, age 76, born in Selma, AL and a resident of Bay Minette, AL died Thursday, October 4, 2018 at her residence. Jane graduated from Auburn University with a Bachelors Degree in Home Economics. She was a teacher at Sylvan Hills High School and at Miriam Heiskell Elementary in Atlanta, GA. After her teaching career, she went on to become a legal professional recruiter in Birmingham, AL, and a real estate broker in Boca Raton, FL.

She is survived by a son, Perry (Terri) Nix of Atlanta, GA; a daughter, Natalie (Jeff) Britt of Franklin, TN; a sister, Kathryn Turner (John) McMillan of Montgomery, AL and five grandchildren, Connor Britt, Kathryn Britt, Charlotte Nix, Isabella Nix and Lily Nix.

A memorial service will be held Saturday, October 13, 2018 at 11:00 a.m. at the First Presbyterian Church with Reverend Blair Beaver officiating.

The family will receive friends Saturday, October 13, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until the 11:00 a.m. service at First Presbyterian Church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation at JDRF.org or to the First Presbyterian Church, P.O. Box 1508, Bay Minette, AL 36507.
