Billy Mangum, 64, of Hillsboro was born October 2, 1954 and passed away October 9, 2018 in Waco. He was born October 2, 1954 in Waco, the son of William Joseph and Modean (Malone) Mangum.
He grew up in Hillsboro and attended TSTI in Waco. On March 29, 1974 he was united in marriage to Nancy Bowden. For 25 years he worked at Vesuvius before their closing. He retired from KBS Electrical Supply after 11 years of service. When he was not cheering on the Dallas Cowboys, Baylor Bears or Texas Rangers you could find Billy Joe fishing, woodworking and watching other sports. He was a member of the Lone Star Cowboy Church in Abbott.
Survivors include his wife of 44 years, Nancy Mangum, four children, sister, Reba Priest and eight grand children.
Funeral services will be held October 12, 2018 in Hillsboro.
