Betty resided in Brookfield, Missouri for over three decades.

She worked for Medalist Stanbury and later at McLarney Manor as a very loving and devoted care giver to many in their final journey in life. In her words, "a vocation" not merely a job.

In the early 1950's, as a young woman just out of Catholic High School, she obtained employment with Parke-Davis Pharmaceutical Company in Detroit, Michigan as a secretary.

While working at Parke-Davis she met and later married Charles C. "Chuck" Spencer, Jr. on June 13, 1959.

After 31 years of marriage and raising four children, Charles unexpectedly joined the Lord on August 1, 1990.

A few years later Betty met another wonderful man, Albert Ricket. They were married on July 16, 1993. After many happy years together, he also joined the lord on July 25, 2015.

Survivors include her children, 20 grandchildren, and 11 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Emily Hallman and Andrew Laing and stepfather, Joseph Hallman; and one brother, Andrew J. Laing. Also preceding her on their journey to heaven; two wonderful husbands, Charles C. Spencer, Jr. and Albert Ricket; and a son-in-law, Bob Ringeisen.
