Ruby M. Dunbar age 84 of Waupaca, passed away on Saturday October 6, 2018.

Ruby was born on October 26, 1933 the daughter of Edgar and Lucille (Gibbs) Basford. Ruby was married to her 1st husband Ronald Winkler on December 15, 1951 and her 2nd husband Darrel Dunbar on July 30, 1994, both who preceded her in death, along with her parents; her 3 sisters Belva Robbins, Hazel Doyle and Judy Jones; 6 brothers William, Everette, Irving, Richard and James Basford.

Ruby is survived by her children Linda (Tom) Telfer of Waupaca, WI; Rick (Kaye) Winkler of Waupaca, WI; Mark Winkler of Waupaca, WI. Stepdaughter Lisa Dunbar, Waupaca, WI. Grandchildren: Jennifer (Patrick) Chapel, Plover, WI; Laura (Lucas) Ludeman, Hudson, WI; Travis (Melisa) Winkler, Weyauwega, WI; Craig Winkler, Waupaca, WI; Valerie Winkler, Houston, TX; Crystal (Nick) Moriello, Burlington, WI; Jeremiah Winkler, Merrill, WI; Step grandson Steuart Johnson. Great Grandchildren: Jaxon Chapel, Landon, Lawson, Layton Ludeman; Jazlyn, Sophia, Gabriella Winkler; Madisyn, Maya Moriello.

Ruby enjoyed spending quality time with her family and friends. She especially cherished her role as grandmother & great grandmother spending time with each of them is what would bring her joy beyond words.

Throughout her life she was a very active woman, in her early 70's she was still bowling and golfing twice a week, she loved fishing, hunting and camping. Ruby was a member of the Lioness of Waupaca. The Red Hat Society and a member of the WVH choir. Ruby was an amazing, fun loving, caring and giving lady to all who knew her, she always had a smile for everyone.

A funeral service will be held on Saturday October 13, 2018 at 11 A.M. at the Holly Funeral Home in Waupaca. Chaplain Wayne Schwanke will officiate with burial to follow in the Badger Cemetery. A visitation will be held on Saturday from 9 A.M. until the time of the service at 11 A.M. at the Holly Funeral Home.

The family would like to thank the staff of the Wisconsin Veterans Home (especially first floor Ainsworth Hall), as well as the Activities Department for the loving care and compassion they gave her during the last six years.
