Brenda Kaye Fletcher was born November 11, 1950, to the late Mr. Edward N. Palmer and Mrs. Lois K. Palmer of Huntsville, Alabama. She departed this life on Friday, October 5, 2018 at Crestwood Medical Center Hospital. She is preceded in death by: one daughter, Miss Jessica Torres.

At an early age Brenda confessed and accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior. Later, she became a member of Bethany Primitive Baptist Church, where she served as a faithful member under Elder James Battle.

Brenda was employed by Shells industry as a manager for many years. Brenda loved children so much she became a self- proclaimed baby sitter, “Whose child is that?” was a known phrase one would ask, when they saw Brenda. She was very nurturing. Brenda has always been very supportive and compassionate. Even through her trials and tribulations, she would still find the time to check on other people. Brenda was a true example of “would give you the shirt off her back”.

Brenda was united by matrimony on February 11, 1994 to Kenneth Fletcher. Many times when you saw Kent you saw Brenda.

Brenda leaves to cherish her memories: husband, Kenneth Fletcher of Huntsville, AL; one son, Jesus Frankie Torres of Huntsville, AL; one sister, Lois (Joe) Tilmore of Robertsdale, AL; one brother, Jimmy (Roseanne) Palmer of Athens, AL; five sisters-in-law: Diane (George) Scott, Brenda Ayers of Harvest, AL, Cathy (John) Fletcher, Katrina Jefferson of Huntsville, AL and Calandra (Gary) Jefferson-Mitchell of Clay, AL; three brothers-in-law: Michael (Ann) Jefferson of Madison, AL, Roger Jefferson of Austin, TX and Coreggnal Jefferson of Huntsville, AL; a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
