Donna Mason Rose, 71, of Otway, passed away Friday, October 5, 2018, at Ashe Memorial Hospital in Jefferson, NC.
Her funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, October 9, 2018, at Smyrna Pentecostal Holiness Church, officiated by Rev. William O’Neal, Rev. Caleb Andrew Rose and Rev. Mick Snyder.
Interment will follow at Piner-Gillikin Cemetery in Otway.
Donna was a faithful and longtime member of the Pentecostal Holiness Church Denomination for 49 years. She was a charter member of the Smyrna Pentecostal Holiness Church for 24 years where she taught Sunday School, was a member of the choir and was the president of the Women’s Ministry. Donna also served on the board for the Falcon Children’s Home in Falcon, NC.
She is survived by her husband, Willie Coleman Rose, Sr.; children, Willie Coleman Rose, Jr., and wife Melinda, Amy Rose Nelson and husband Dean, Marnie Rose Willis and husband Kyle, David Wayne Rose and wife Stacy; grandchildren, Michaela Jo Nelson, Mason Dean Nelson, Lauren Paige Willis, Caleb Andrew Rose, Nathan Kyle Willis, Madisyn Nicole Rose, Gabriel Coleman Rose; and great-grandchild, Easton Crandall Willis; brother, Jeffrey Wayne Mason; sister, Sarah Denise Warren;
She was preceded in death by her father, Percy Delmonte Mason., Sr.; mother, Mildred Piner Mason; and brother, Percy Delmonte Mason, Jr.
